I made this painting for the upcoming Picture Mechanics group show in Los Angeles at La Luz.  Painted in gouache on Arches printmaker's paper, I named it Kaboom after the breakfast "vitamin & iron" cereal I liked as a kid (when I could convince my mother to buy it instead of the more healthy stuff). Actually, it's called Kaboom 2 because it was the second version of this composition I did.  Now the whole Pix Mex show got named Kaboom.  It's a good word.
