I don't know much about Creamy Whip, but apparently it's a summer staple in Cincinnati.  After doing this drawing, I now definitely want to try some.  Apparently it's lighter and creamier than soft serve, yet firmer than whipped cream.

For a number of years I did a regular illo for a back page column in Cincinnati Magazine written by the excellent Bob Woodiwiss, and he'd just penned this feature on the mysterious whip for them.
The idea was to do a send up of the classic Herb Albert & the Tijuana Brass album covers.  Grace Saunders and Megan Scherer did a great job with the layout.
