A meat and potatoes post about some of the work I've done over the last few months commissioned in my "O-town" style.  This is a cover for a sequel to an earlier cover I did, MacMillan UK.  The book is about a fellow who abandons his mushroom loving life and moves to the South Pacific where he marries the queen of a remote island.

On the left is the back cover, the "bowler-shaped" tropical island.  On the right is the first cover I did in this series.

For Plan Sponsor, SooJin as usual sent a simple tag-line, "Falling Knives" to illustrate.  Looking at this reminds me of the mood that seems to permeate just about everything these days.

I couldn't decide which one worked better, so I sent her a few to choose from.  Not sure which one she went with.
This was a really fun job for Boy's Life, a spread about catfish.  The a.d. wanted a mock 50s horror poster type of thing with a giant catfish monster haunting a catfish hunter.

This is a cover illustration for Harvey Mudd College alumni magazine.  The theme was networking with former alumni.

This is a cover for POZ magazine.  The a.d. only asked for a basic circus/money theme, and I'd been working on the Lord of the Ringlings, so I was in the right frame of mind.  He sent me the previous month's cover for a template, and it was a beautiful illustration by fellow drawger Marc Rosenthal.

Here are the interiors for this POZ job.
