A Father's Day Idea
posted:
As a father of a two energetic young early risers I finally came up with a way to make these freeloaders productive members of the family. I combined their love of all things HotWheels and Thomas the train with my love of back scratches and chills in an ingenious (if I do say so myself) series t-shirts that Alina and I are calling "BACKROADS".
Each of the 3 shirt designs offers a different theme. There's "Chillsville", "Spinal Speedway", and the "R&R Railway". For the little ones it's another chance to play! For you it's few minutes of spine tingling bliss. Do a young dad a favor, let him know you've got his back! Father's Day is right around the corner. Now for the non-sales pitch stuff. A few years back Alina and I got this idea after one of the boys woke me by using my back as his own personal roadway. Each morning when our little visitors arrived, usually before dawn and highly energetic, I begged and pleaded with the kids to bring their cars and play with them on daddy's back. So of course being the opportunist that I am, I saw a way to exploit their innocence AND child labor laws. The rest is history. Stylistically I knew I had to change hats for these. I mean, what child is going to play Hotwheels on someone's back on an image of a serial killer. The fit was wrong. So I went vector and just had some fun. Tell a friend!
