Monumental Ideas in Miniature Books Exhibition
posted:
Last year I was fortunate to meet a woodengraver here in Cleveland, Tom Schorgl who instructed me on how to do wood engraving. I ordered some custom English Boxwood and the gravers and then had the proper vehicle to push me to tackle this somewhat challenging medium. I was invited to exhibit in an international traveling exhibition of miniature books curated by Hui-Chu Ying from The Myers School of Art at The University of Akron, Akron Ohio and Alicia Candiani, Director, Pryecto’ace, Buenos Aires, Argentina http://www.mimb.org/. First stop will be the Southern Graphics International conference and it will tour for two years. I produced 12 editions on a Vandercook press. I am really fortunate to belong to such a great co operative press here.
