A great find!

I took the car in for an oil change and service yesterday. While I waited I went next door to one of my favorite little bookstores, and found Westward Ha! in the clearance rack. I flipped through this little book and it is full of amazing Hirschfeld drawings, and the story is great. I read it while I waited on the car, and made it halfway through the book. It is a story of a trip that the writer S. J. Perelman and Al Hirschfeld took to asia and the middle east on a boat from San Francisco. What is cool about all of this is that a magazine at the time paid for it all. I have seen some of these Hirschfeld drawings in different books, on exhibit, but it is nice to see them all in the context of this hilarious story. Oh, I forgot, I only paid two dollars for it.
