What a week!

Gary Kelley's work projected onto a screen for all to view while he works...
I had such a great time in New York this last week. It was great to meet many of you for the first time, and to see others of you who I hadn’t seen in a while. I must admit that I was a bit intimidated being part of a jury with such talented people, but was soon put to ease with how down to earth everyone was.

I was surprised to see how different people are in person as opposed to what I imagined them to be like from my Drawger interaction with them.

It was great to see- Leo, Nancy, Edel, Marc, Thomas, David, Randall, David, Roberto, Laura, Tim, and others who I may have forgot at the moment.

Next time I am in town I want to meet those who I have missed. I hope to be back in the next few months, possibly after the New Year.

As usual, Peter and Nicole Cusack were gracious to let me stay with them yet again, and Peter and I had a great time round town. As Peter described it, we were like two southern belles gallivanting around Manhattan. The only thing we needed for our routine were a couple of purple wigs and mom jeans…

I missed the AI party due to the fact that I was a bit shy and tired, but I will catch this party next time I am there.

I did catch “Art Out Loud” at the society, and it was enjoyable to see these guys do their thing. I especially enjoyed getting the chance to talk with Gary again. It was a bit surreal to see Gary’s piece projected large on the screen while he worked. If you haven’t been to one of these events, do try and make it, you will thank me later.

I am still tired, and have a bit of the post trip blues. I miss New York. I especially miss my old friends and newly found friends.

Thank you for your hospitality and kindness, I hope to see you all again sometime soon!
