I've always liked working for the Op-Ed page, the mixture of challenging topics with a crunchy deadline just appeals to me (usually a few hours, this one was overnight though). On top of that the art directors I've worked with over there, and there have been a few, have traditionally been some of the best in the field, and Aviva is no exception. They seem to just get it and are willing to fight for your ideas with the powers that be...
Anyhow, here's the brief for this one: a story about the fourth amendment (part of the Bill of Rights) which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures, along with requiring any warrant  to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause.
The Fourth Amendment hasn’t been this weak in nearly a century. The Obama Administration petitioned the Supreme Court to allow GPS tracking of vehicles without judicial permission. The Supreme Court ruled that police may break into a house without a search warrant if, after knocking and announcing themselves, they hear what sounds like  evidence being destroyed.
