Soojin strikes again. The art direction on this was "Planes landing safely" something like that. I was actually kind of stumped because Soojin said the editor was set on that idea, of planes landing safely. I really just didn't feel like drawing planes, or if I did I wanted them to be in pieces, which isn't safe. I think I'm feeling the echoes of so many art directors after 9/11 cautioning me when doing jobs involving planes- going up as opposed to down, do not make it look like it's crashing!! or cautioning to avoid planes alltogether. Weird how past jobs can taint your process. With that said, I knew I would get none of that from Soojin.
