Ready for a Faceoff
Emmet and I cleared the snow dusting of the pond and got it ready for skating. After the temperatures finally dropped for a several days without any snow falling on it, we got nearly perfect 5 inches of black ice! I consoled the internet, double checked, no triple checked, on the ice thickness temperature etc. and I talk to the kids about ice safety. We have a second pond right behind this one and it is fed by a small but steady stream, resulting in a very uneven freeze because of the current. So, my fellow Drawgers bring Your skates and hockey sticks this Saturday afternoon we will serve hot coco.
