Jillian Tamaki no longer has an active account at Drawger. As you may know, Drawger is a subscription-based service and it could be that Jillian Tamaki decided not to continue using Drawger. That's okay. People come and go over time.
Sam Weber's Lord of the Flies

Sam Weber recently illustrated the Lord of the Flies. Unfortunately you must be a member of the Folio Society to buy the book. It's that fancy.

I added a new gallery. Is it cool to post a post about a new gallery? Oh well.
REJECT-O-SKETCH GALLERY It's a collection of Rejected Sketches. Perfectly acceptable, "actually pretty nice!" sketches that never see the light of day, unless I can shoehorn them into somewhere else (which sometimes works). Fashion Week

It's Fashion Week again here in New York.
Josh Cochran and I were kicking around Soho last weekend and were bombarded on all sides by PYTs running off to castings. You can tell because they have maps and computer printouts and are holding their black portfolios looking very, very lost. Oh, we also saw Tracy Morgan. Josh was not cool about it at all. He didn't say a word but made a really huge "CHECK IT OUT!!!!" face and pointed at Tracy Morgan with his thumb. Humiliating. I did these over the span of a week. They're just mucking about. For the technicians in the crowd, they are either straight up sumi ink or sumi ink w/ pencil. The paper is crappy sketchbook paper. As I mention on my blog, I think the key to drawing a beautiful female face is to have a little masculinity in it. Just a touch. It gives it a bit of edge (but then again, I don't ever like to have stuff too "pretty"). Same thing for men. A bit of femininity to soften the features. I think Fashion Week ends tomorrow. Goodbye, Lithuanian beauties! See you F/W 2010! Hello Hello

Hello Drawgers (Drawgerites? Drawgonians?)!
First off, thank-you for inviting me to participate in your community. I'm flattered you think me a worthwhile addition.
I also maintain a daily-ish blog on my own site. I will likely cross-post the juicer entries, such as Processwork and Big Thoughts. I like the Galleries feature here. Maybe I'll use it.
So thank-you again. And what would a post be without a picture? Here's something from the New York Times Magazine a few weeks ago.
Bye!
