Rainy, Cold Spring.
posted:
Nairobi is the chronicle of actor, film maker J.Taccone's African odyssey in search of a rapper named Rabbit for AFAR Magazine.

It's been a rainy, cold Spring here in the lower Sierra foothills.  The water table is, like, 2 times higher than normal and the snowpack in Tahoe is 50 feet!  I don't mind the weather so much if I'm busy and by some quirk, I have been a bit.  Here's a sample of some recent stuff from various sources.  Thanks to all the AD's for keeping me off the streets and out of the woods!
Bust out the flipflops, Summer's on the way!
A portion of the journey included a safari in Kenya.

For a feature in the NAACP's New Crisis [100 years old this year!] examining ethnicity among native born versus foreign born blacks in America.

A jousting scene for La Cucina Italiana [since 1929] for a wine column.

Geriatric ER's for Hour Detroit Magazine.

A woman reflects on sharing the gardening with her daughter for 5280.

Raw Bar- a sneak peek at my new "large format" sketchbook.

Another view of the sketchbook. Happy Birthday IKO!

NEW BLUE!

I found a sketchbook from last year that hadn't been scanned so here it is.  A lot of my AFRIKA/AFRIKA pieces started here as well as a number of other things.  Enjoy!
