Bert and Harry Piels drawn by Jack Sidebotham on a paper napkin for my wife Aviva. From Amid Amidi's excellent and highly recommended book CARTOON MODERN: Studio: UPA, Designer: Jack Sidebotham, Director: Gene Deitch. This is Amidi's website which is also highly recommended http:www.cartoonbrew.com/ Young & Rubicam Advertising Agency created the classic team of Bert & Harry (a.k.a. The Piels Brothers), the fictitious animated owners and pitchmen for Brooklyn's Piel Brothers brewery (now defunct). Their voices were provided by the comic talents of Bob Elliott & Ray Goulding.
