Well, I guess illustrating a 'back to school' feature means that Summer is already over folks! I wasn't that much of a fan of going to school but I do sort of miss the excitement that came with the purchase of new ring binders, pens and pencil cases in preparation for the new academic year.
Anyways, last week I was commissioned by Tippi Thole at the Washington Post to illustrate the cover of the
Local Living section of the paper.
Tippi sent over a few samples of mine that she liked and asked for something bright and colourful, that included space for a larger heading and subheading.
As with most newspapers job it was quite a quick turnaround, but as a seasoned procratinator this can be very good for getting me focused.
