It just might be the drinking water. Vermont probably has more cartoonists per capita than any other state in the Union. I am honored to be a part of this show that features some of Vermont's best. I've never met Jeff Danziger (I think he now lives in Chicago), but I see Ed Koren and Tim Newcomb from time to time and always enjoy our conversations. The opening tomorrow night promises to be quite an event. When I was initially approached about this show, the curator, Joyce Mandeville wanted to show strictly cartoons, but I cajoled her into letting me show my paintings, which technically aren't cartoons, but have a certain humorous sensibility that is in line with the spirit of the show. The gallery is huge, so they were able to hang 32 of my paintings. Here's a sample of some of my more recent grid paintings.
