Michael Sloan
Nimbus in Gotham
Here's my new oil painting on wood panel. It took about two months to complete this painting, working mostly at night for an hour or two at a time and listening to solo classical piano music. It's a very relaxing and meditative process for me.

What will I do with this painting? For now I'm happy seeing it hang on the wall of my son's bedroom. I might have it professionally scanned and made into limited edition prints. Perhaps I'll get a chance to exhibit it if there's ever a show with a Gotham theme.

It looks good unframed because I painted around the sides of the panel. I've spent so much money on framing art for exhibits, and I'm glad that I've finally found an aesthetically pleasing way to avoid this.
