A couple of recent works i've done for The New York Times.

The first one was a Book Review cover art directed by Rex Bonomelli for "Lean In Women, Work and the Will to Lead" by Sheryl Sandberg. (Read it here)

The second one was in the Op/Ed yesterday and it's a piece art directed by Matthew Dorfman for "The Best Little Boy in The World - That's Me" by Adam D. Chandler about homosexuality and coming out of the closet. (Read it here)

I'm also about to wrap up two books of the series "The New York Times 36 Hours" published by Taschen. The next ones are gonna be about Asia & Oceania and South America. Can't wait to see them printed and pack my suitcase.

Henry Miller

"Opus Pistorum", my latest cover for Henry Miller collection published Feltrinelli is finally out. It's now standing on my bookshelf together with two other titles i illustrated last year "Tropic of Cancer" and "Tropic of Capricorn".

I'm particularly happy about this assignment cause the story behind these books has been tormented. "Tropic of Cancer" was originally published in Paris in 1934 but couldn't make it to Italy until 1962 when Feltrinelli itself found a stratagem to publish it. The book in fact claims to be printed in France, under the name of a borrowed Swiss publishing house and with an inside warning that said "The import and sell of this book is forbidden in Italy". In reality, the book was printed in the italian city of Varese and used to be sold under the counter.

These are some of the italian covers that came before my intrusion. Another reason to feel proud about it. They're all beautiful to my eyes.

Merry Almost Christmas!

The first snow of this holiday season has arrived here in Milan and i'm desperately trying to resist a big snowman urge by staying in, focusing on the last assignments of the year and thinking about christmas presents.

This year, for the first time, i won't have to worry about wrapping paper because i had the pleasure of creating a few graphics that got printed for this purpose.

The first one is a graphic i did for italian magazine Internazionale. It's coming out every week in a different color for the entire month of December.

The other one is a wrapping paper i created for Clodomiro. Clodomiro is an online shop created by me and my father. My dad is a photographer (www.mirozagnoli.it). He's been working in the interior design field for many years working with clients such as Domus, Artemide, Alessi, Vitra and others. One day he came up with the idea of mixing his love for design and images and start a small online shop that would feature everyday objects created by us.

The first project is a series of fine bone china plates with erotically-inspired imagery. You can check them out here: www.clodomiro.com

The Snake & Apple wrapping paper was printed by Paperbanana, a newly born italian shop for wrapping paper and greeting cards who also produced my pink books graphic, originally created for The New Yorker.

Now that my eyes are in the shape of a snowflake, it's time to wish you all a very nice xmas and a wonderful new year!

	With snow,

Hello

I've been trying to fill this empty space for days and make a proper first post but i always felt like i wasn't in the right place or my clothes weren't appropriate enough.

But finally it's Sunday, i'm in my bed in Milan wearing a beautiful striped pajamas, outside it's raining and i just had not one but two croissants.

So now i think i'm ready to say: hello people with pencils!

I'm very honoured to be part of your family and i have to immensely thank my friend Gary Taxali for this. Thanks Gary, the next burrito is on me.
