I've been trying to fit some fun personal work in between some enjoyable paying work and some exciting double top-secret work lately. I'm looking forward to posting some of that this spring. But until then here's a piece I did just because I could.
I get a kick out of creating hamlets and villages. The kind of places that sell cheese wheels and baskets of bread. In my villages the hunchback is treated kindly. Perhaps his buddies would rub his hump for luck and tossle his filthy, matted hair. Anyway, these drawings sometimes become more than that and evolve into a color exercise. When that happens I have to impose my own deadine to make the art work. I did the sketch yesterday and today was my deadline. Time for the next project.
