Work in Progress

The last week or so has been slow and this has enabled me to devote quality time to some pro-bono work and my wordless story (previously blogged here and here). I'm painting Chapter Two where my characters explore the new island. A few small surprises are in store. I'd tell you more but that's all I know.

One of the real pleasures of this project is rendering landscape settings and figures in theatrical light in a faux-woodcut vector technique that I find exciting. There are no gradients. Whatever. I'd better get back to work: nine more panels to go then I need to sketch out Chapter Three and Four and Five and... Oh, and the phone will probably start ringing like crazy now!
