ENI

ENI is a big Italian group of Oil and Energy. ENI is working with several illustrators on the new 2010 campaign. Amongst them the interesting commercial done by Ilana Yahav. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwUbK5CmYnI)

They got in contact with me to do the Poster for "ENI e La Scala" since ENI is sponsoring several Italian Opera Theaters, La Scala in Milan is one of them. They asked me to play with their historic symbol, the dog with six legs and of course with music.

They gave me 1 day for the sketches and 1 day for the final. They are always in a hurry.

This is what I did.

Revista Piauí and Annabelle

Raquel Zangrandi is the art director of Revista Piauí who asked me to re-use a couple of my old images.

Revista Piauí aims to underline the poor situation of Piauì, a region in Brazil. I think it's a great magazine, this issue included some great US comix legends as Robert Crumb and Art Spiegelman, as well as some other great South American artists.

The second post is my latest work for Annabelle, a cool Swiss publication. The art director Anette Keller asked me to create an illo about a strange and sad, phenomenon: "Rabenmutter" a German word who means the impossibility of a mother to love her sons.
A similar behaviour is observed in the mother crow with its baby bird.

Camilla (my girlfriend) and I spent 14 months in San Francisco. We are now back home for good.
The days I spent in SF were amongst the best ones I've ever had in my life. I don't have the proper words to say what I feel, so I've posted some pictures below.

Let me say thanks to my new friends that I was so lucky to meet in SF. Three great artists, three great men.

Mark Ulriksen, thank you so much, for your kindness, for your art, for that afternoon, and for your suggestion to go and visit Belvedere street on Halloween day, simply incredible.

Adam McCauley my dear friend, thank you for everything, for the time I spent with you and with your lovely wife, for the dinners we had together and for wanting to teach me surfing. Next time my friend!

Robert Hunt, I was honored to give a talk at your class, thank you so much for inviting me. When I see you I think I want to be like you one day. You are one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Thank you guys, thank you San Francisco.
