Was very pleasantly surprised to receive an email from that Society of Illustrators that 4 of my submissions (already that's wild) were accepted into the 65th Annual that will take place starting in January 2023. Two of the selections are works of some very striking fiction that I had the pleasure of illustrating for John Goecke at Alta Magazine. "My Chicano Heart" by Daniel A. Olivas and "Properties of Thirst" by Marianne Wiggins. Many thanks to the jury.
